All Sisterhoods and their individual members are invited to connect, share stories, and much-needed laughs. During the August call, many saw women they hadn’t seen in years. This is just for fun: connect with old friends, make new friends, and enjoy.

Join us for Zoom Book Club

Join us on May 23 st at 4:00 pm for our next Hillary’s Central District Book Club meeting. We will be discussing Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life in Judaism.

A renowned political speechwriter rediscovers Judaism, finding timeless
wisdom and spiritual connection in its age-old practices and traditions.

After a decade as a political speechwriter for leaders like Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama and as head speechwriter for First Lady Michelle Obama, Sarah Hurwitz decided to apply her skills as a communicator to writing a book…about Judaism. And no one is more surprised than she is.

Hurwitz was the quintessential lapsed Jew – until, at age thirty-six, after a tough break-
up, she happened upon an advertisement for a beginner’s class on Judaism. She attended on a whim, but was blown-away by what she found. And she wondered: How could there be such a gap between the richness of what Judaism offers and the way so many Jews like her understand and experience it?

Author Sarah Hurwitz was outstanding at the Fried Conference in March talking about her book. Let’s continue the conversation. Check out www.sarahhurwitz.net for discussion questions and more information.

RSVP to Connie Silver at connieksilver@comcast.net for the Zoom link on May 23.
